Operation

  • The external air is extracted from the fan using an automated air intake shutter, implemented to avoid rain and external elements entering the system.
  • The extracted air is purified by the most common solid particles in the environment thanks to a static filters battery. In this phase, the search for increasingly innovative solutions has allowed us to create a bactericidal barrier to further improve the production micro-environment-
  • Subsequently, based on client requirements, the flow can be cooled, heated and/or humidified If the thermal load in the environment to condition is negligible or in the event of specific requests, a further cooling and/or heating stage is possible.
  • Often, the pre-separation system and the filtration system to the conditioning machine are both present, to improve the overall efficiency of the machine.
  • The safety and control system, composed of hygrometric thermal probes and other tools, allows operating data to be sent to the electric box equipped with PLC and HMI, to manage, control and prepare the machine in a completely safe manner.

Intended applications and sectors

The multifaceted nature of these machines has allowed us to implement the most wide-ranging applications over time.
Standard ATU use is to condition more or less ample environments, with different thermo-hygrometric guarantees according to the target sector (also due to the diffusion systems).
In addition to large machines that can be installed on site, Canalair has also developed central suspended units, complete with filtration which can be placed both inside and outside.

Curing booth

Canalair has created curing booths for particular types of production, such as polymerisation and cross-linkage processes.
The latter allows the recommended and adequate thermo-igrometric levels to be reached and maintained for a period of time defined and independent of other existing processes.
The booth is equipped with insulated loading and unloading doors for the materials to cure.
After closing the doors, the curing process begins with heating, maintenance and cooling ramps. When the system has completed the selected cycle, the doors can be opened and the material unloaded in a completely safe manner.
The curing booth is equipped with a specific conditioning system which can be composed of:

  • heating battery
  • cooling battery
  • humidification
  • post heating

Depending on the specific needs of the process it is possible to add optional (evaporators, etc.) to the air conditioning unit.

Humidity recovery chambers

The humidity recovery chamber is designed to maintain a correct and stable level of humidity in the vicinity of the products placed inside it and to ensure the correct thermal insulation between a location with ambient temperature and humidity and a particular confined area that must have specific thermo-hygrometric conditions (in this case, 95/98% humidity, close to saturation) both at high and low temperatures.
Usually used in the yarn and textile sectors, the system allows perfect integration between the loading and unloading phase of the product in the room. Particular attention is placed on the recovery phase of the air contained in the room.
The system has an electric box with supervision and control. Computerised integration of this machine with the client’s factory management system is guaranteed through use of specific parts chosen together with the client.

QUENCHING

The quenching unit has the objective of suddenly cooling an air flow to introduce it in the production line where necessary for the application.
The quenching unit extracts the air from the environment and brings it to the thermo-hygrometric conditions required thanks to use of the cooling/heating battery, the saturated humidifiers or evaporators and the post heating/cooling battery
