Operation

The Compact system allows filtering a mix of fibres through a pre-separator capable of stopping fibres measuring 1 to 60/70 mm. The pre-separator filters the air through a mesh lying over its wheel, on which the layer of waste and impurities is deposited.
Cleaning the filtering membrane of the disc pre-filter is carried out using an extraction inlet arranged radially and placed on the side of the dirty air intake. The inlet extracts the deposited material, which can be reused in the process or passed to a fibre compactor for final recovery.
A cyclone pre-separation system can be used as an alternative to pre-filtration. The material rejected from the process and extracted by the system is separated through falling by gravity into the evacuation cradle, while the dusty air flow passes through the filtering medium until the positive filtration stages are reached.
The air full of fibres, extracted by the pre-separator, is sent to the compacting system using a centrifugal fitting that guarantees the heavy fibres and waste fall into the perforated sheet metal hopper. The material which is deposited by a continuously rotating worm screw activated by a gearmotor placed on the cover of the module. This screw exerts vertical action, thereby compacting the material which is then evacuated by the pre-separator unloading valve.
A differential gauge and an alarm pressure switch on the compactor structure allow efficiency control of the system and activate an alarm in the event of clogging problems.
After pre-filtration, the extracted air flow passes to the filtration phase.
The automatic filter is composed of a metal mesh rotating drum, covered by a filtering membrane activated by a gearmotor using a friction-proof wheel inside the supply ring of the cylinder.
Thanks to the depression caused by the main return fan, the air crosses the cylinder (inwards) and releases the impurities on the surface of the filtering membrane. At this point, one or more extraction openings, installed axially to the filter, extract the deposited impurities. The waste and dust accumulated are sent to the collection and unloading system.
The material extracted by the automatic rotating filter is automatically disposed of using the cyclone or self-cleaning bag filter.
The air return centrifugal fan has high efficiency and is dimensioned to obtain maximum energy savings.
The system proposed is completely automatic and equipped with an electric box with PLC.
